About the event

This conference socializes the outcomes of the research “Young Voices from the Global South: Stories of Vulnerabilities and Resilience”, which analyzes different topics of the youth in seven developing countries of Latin America, Africa and Southeast Asia.
The conference topics concern: (a) street art in Argentina, (b) traffic accidents in Brazil, (c) employment and (d) armed conflict in Colombia, (e) teenage pregnancy and education in Costa Rica, (f) prison violence in the Honduras, (g) leisure and recreation in Nigeria, and (h) transnational families in the Philippines.
This conference is mainly funded by Brown University and Universidad Militar Nueva Granada (product derived from the research project INV ECO 1483), allowing the participation of researchers from diverse places around the world.
